The agreement

Hark is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard EULA. These terms add Hark’s own points to it. If anything here conflicts with the EULA, the EULA applies.

Listen safely

Hark makes sound louder, and loud sound can damage hearing. Start at a low volume and raise it slowly. Keep it comfortable, take breaks, and stop if you feel pain, ringing, dizziness or discomfort. Use the loudness limit in Settings to cap the volume.

Don’t use Hark where you must hear your surroundings to stay safe, such as while driving, cycling or crossing a street.

Not a medical device

Hark is a personal listening tool. It is not a hearing aid or a medical device, and it doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. The Sound Check is a comfort setting, not a hearing test. If you’re worried about your hearing, please see a hearing professional.

Captions can be wrong

Live captions are made automatically and can miss or change words, especially in noise. Don’t rely on them alone for important information such as medical instructions, legal matters or emergencies.

Hark Pro and payments

Hark Pro is offered as auto-renewing weekly or yearly subscriptions and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, and payment is charged to your Apple Account.

A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel anytime in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, the rest of the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.

Use it fairly

Don’t use Hark to listen to people without their knowledge, or anywhere amplifying or transcribing conversations isn’t allowed. You are responsible for following the laws where you use it.

Liability

Hark is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it. Nothing here limits consumer rights that can’t be excluded by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version. Using Hark after a change means you accept it.
